But I'm not dead, so there is that, haha.
The Wicca 101 course I was giving ended this week. Half of our students are going to merge with the group that took the same course back in April of this year, starting in January. There will be 4 teachers, including a 3rd Degree High Priestess (not my direct teacher/HPs, but one I'm really excited to work with), a Ninjutsu classmate who is on maternity leave from martial arts for obvious reasons, my co-teacher for the past two months, and myself. This is mainly because the 3rd Degree HPs only wants to teach them until Initiation, at which point the three of us can take over (or two, if the future mommy decides to take an extended break from teaching once she has her baby). I'm the junior 2nd Degree, so I'm there as co-teacher, sort of like someone doing an in-classroom internship. It's still going to be fun.
That HPs we will be teaching with has a reputation for being a bit of a slave driver when it comes to one's discipline and dedication towards the path. BUT! Everyone who has ever been taught by her says, just like I do, that she makes you excited about being dedicated and disciplined about your spiritual work. But you need to do the work. You can't just sit around and do nothing.
So that means: nose to the spiritual grindstone for me. But I think this is what I need to get serious about my practice. It can only be good for me.
