OK, so, weekend wrap-up anyone?
Nov. 1st, 2010 01:37 pmI went out for crepes with
jpwic for dinner on Friday. I had the Nutella-strawberry and he had the Apple-cinnamon. Then we left there to go to the public Samhain ritual in the Plateau (an artsy-fartsy and trendy borough of Montreal). We walked past one of Montreal's most famous Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant Aux Vivres, which, from what I heard, has only really deliciousness on their menu.
We got to see a lot of people there, some friends, some people we didn't know, some people I hadn't seen in years (and who were ecstatic about seeing me). People noticed we were holding hands and keeping to ourselves even when surrounded by people, hahaha. :D
The ritual itself was amazing and wonderful but it wiped me cold. I mean we had not one, but two cones of power. After it was over, I was momentarily charged, but once the music got started and people started dancing, I was just feeling exhausted and ill and wanted to leave, despite
jpwic's wonderfulness as a boyfriend, and his fetching me water.
So we left and I drove him home, then went home to crash.
The next day, I did a load of laundry, before making my way to his place (which he shares with two of our friends), and had dinner over, before one of his roommates and I had to leave for yet another Samhain ritual (with no Ball afterwards, this one), with our Trad. That ritual was much less draining, but when we were about to leave to drive my friend home, it was snowing!!! Snow! Wet and heavy! And the ground was white!!!
So I wound up staying over for the night, because I didn't feel like driving home in that weather while not being 100% alert, as I was getting normal tired, not exhausted and ill.
The next morning
jpwic got us some bagels and chive cream cheese (my favorite when I go over there), and we nommed, then watched Ghostbusters II and the two episodes of the cartoon that are on that DVD, then re-watched part of the movie, then I went home to finish laundry.
I had a great, amazing weekend, in other words.
ETA: I forgot to say... we spent about 90% of our time together holding hands and/or cuddling. Heee... And I'm not the cuddly type, usually. :D
