Ghostbusters III starts filming this spring as per Dan Aykroyd!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm mainly excited because, well, the guy's putting any other plans on hold in favor of a potential movie shoot. That looks better than just "Oh yeah, we might start filming around X date..." which was what he and Ramis had been tossing around for the past 9 months or so.

No idea, apparently, the word "hopefully" was tossed around a lot while Aykroyd was making his semi-announcement in Winnipeg.

But I don't think he'd be clearing his schedule if there weren't some agreements in the works, though, even if they aren't finalized.

I have a love-hate thing going on Murray. He's a right pain in the butt right now, changing his mind about it every other week.

I think he'll do it in the end. It's too big a part and a franchise to ignore.

He did say, after he did voice work for the videogame that he would be excited to be in a third movie installment. It put him in the right mindset, but it would have to be "done right", whatever he meant by that. Also, he, Aykroyd and Ramis, reportedly want more Winston. Not enough Winston seems to be one of the dealbreakers for all three of them. Ernie Hudson is a bit *shrugs* about it, even though he'd like to be more present. He has said, if he's asked, he'll do it, and Reitman recently (this summer) presented him with his own copy of the 2nd draft of the script, and he has mentionned being really happy about what's in it.

This is all hearsay over the internet grapevine... maybe I should tap my movie business connections to see if they have more info.

:D You have movie business connections? I used to, but only in Finnish film which nobody cares about, not even the Finns.

I want more Winston, he doesn't get enough love! Except from schoolchildren when Hudson visits schools, LOL. It's adorable to hear him tell it too!

The best friend of one of the guys in Sales is an assistant-director on Hollywood productions. He worked closely to Lost at some point, so I was getting some cast news I wasn't at liberty to talk about online (like the Monaghan/Lilly on-and-off relationship issues, which are now out in the open). And now, my Sales colleague was all, "Yeah, I've known about Aykroyd clearing his schedule for next spring for awhile!", when I was all "*bounce* Have you heard?"
