I may dress up for Halloween for the first time in YEARS!! :D :D :D

John found me an affordable flight suit, in stone (that is a light grey, not quite the warm beigy-grey of the movies but closer than the tan stuff all the fanboys out there are wearing), now I just need to order it, and order a customized name tag patch (my surname is as long as "Spengler", so it should fit, lol) and the two No-Ghost logo patches off a vendor on Etsy, and I can whip up a costume for Halloween!

I'm actually thinking of getting the Harold Ramis memorial patch, to put on the left arm, but it has "Spengler" on it instead of "Ramis", and to me the character isn't dead, only the actor is, so I don't know...

My boots won't be movie-accurate because there is no way I can get black boots before Halloween, so the cherry red Doc Martens are going to be used instead. I'll pretend they're made from an experimental material to protect against the caustic black slime (from the video game).

Aside from that, I have the Matty Collector's movie semi-accurate PKE meter (it's about 5 to 10% larger due to safety issues with electronic devices), and I would definitely be carrying that with me, lol.

I'm thinking of building a pack in the future, but that would definitely not be for this Halloween! LOL! Holy crap, I'd have to work on that pretty much nonstop until the end of October.

We have a local guy that breaks out his self-made Ghostbusters car around Halloween every year here. It is kind of the talk of the town...and while there are differences (for example, the state of Michigan behind the ghost) it is kind of cool to see every year.

I think I have seen pictures of that hearse before. XD The Ghostbusters: Quebec Division (rough translation of the name of the fan franchise, since it's in French) have their own Ecto-1 as well, I took a picture at Comiccon last year.



Funny story about that, they took it out to a Dan Aykroyd signing at a local liquor store, and a coworker of mine walked past that store as they were loading Ecto up on a tow truck, because the motor crapped out on the team, LOL! I did not know Dan Aykroyd was going to be there, or I would have taken the afternoon off. XD

Why such trouble getting black boots? Can't you get them from any shoeshop of clothing store?

Money is the trouble, lol. I'm limited on funds, and I already have perfectly suitably badass red boots. The rest I can afford, and it will be used for cosplay at conventions later too, but I can't afford black work boots or something like that on top of it.

Besides, the red would match the nametag and the No-Ghost logo.

I see your point! Proper heavy leather boots are expensive. I'm so used to buying the cheapest shoes I can find I forget that the proper ones are quite pricey.

I usually buy the cheapest shoes I can find (except good runners to go to the gym with to avoid injury, or winter boots), but I'll occasionally splurge when I am planning on wearing something a lot and want it to last. Though I've had really cheap shoes last me a surprisingly long time too.
