Earlier, we watched the two first episodes of Red Dwarf... My only comments: "Lister is clearly from Lancashire..." and "Oooooh! Cat!"

Now, I wonder if I could get John into Hetty Wainthropp Investigates...

Lancashire is close, he's from Liverpool! I can't tell the difference between British accents, but I'm rather fannish about Red Dwarf.

I can tell the difference between some from having heard them a lot. Hetty Wainthropp Investigates is set in Lancashire and that's pretty much exactly what Lister sounds like. I can't for the life of me make a difference between the different London-area ones, though. I'm not usually good at recognizing accents, though, except in French.
