I might post pics later, but I saw the Quebec Ghostbusters (yay for local fan franchise!), Adam West, James Marsters, the creators of Kill William Shakespeare (the boyfriend bought their comic, which they autographed).

And.

I got.

A 12" Egon Spengler action figure.

*squee*

Now, I just need to get a Ray, a Winston and a Peter. :D

The thing is, Janine is available in the cartoon-based action figures by the same company (she's adorable too), but those are only 6" tall... and I'm not fond of cartoon!Egon's appearance.

If they ever release, even a 6" movie!verse Janine, I'll be all over her. There might be a Zuul-possessed Dana Barrett next year, but a Janine would rock my socks. Especially in 12" (or possibly 11" or 10.5" to match with Egon's height, proportions-wise).

BTW, the IDW comic is now out (but not widely available without ordering it straight from the US if not in North America... or downloads, once the digitals are available), and it's pretty good. I like it.

They released a 6" Louis Tully, so why not a Janine? I guess we'll just have to be patient.

And, of course the slinky dress wins, most fans are male and straight... *sarcasm*

Gilly just went on a minirant this morning about how all the cool Beatles T-shirts are for men, and all the books about the Beatles were written by men (or relatives), and there are no accounts from the almost uniformly female fanbase's view, and it's the same thing with Star Trek - it's always about the fanboy, as if the masses of fangirls weren't there or aren't worth listening to.
