Remember that root canal I had?

I broke/chipped a part of that tooth off yesterday. While eating a bagel, of all things. Partly due to the fact that it still only had a temporary filling in it.

It doesn't hurt (there are no nerves inside that tooth anymore... yay for the root canal), but the edge of the fracture is sharp and sometimes digs uncomfortably inside my cheek.

It's getting looked at on Wednesday the 5th, at any rate. If the fracture extends to the root, this is almost for sure going to be an extraction.

It might not hurt even without the root canal. I've chipped two of my teeth, and neither hurt. The first one I got filled in, the other one I just left as it is because the chip is so tiny. I was biting something hard that people aren't really supposed to bite at the time - one time it was a needle.

Hope it's not too big a chip and they can just fill it in!

It's a big chip, the thing goes from my gum to the end of my tooth, exposing the side of the temporary filling, and is about 5mm wide. Haha. Funny thing is, the pre-molar I had filled a couple of weeks ago on the left side of my mouth is throbbing like mad. I don't know if I'm developing problems with it, or if it's just hurting out of sympathy for the other tooth, which is on the right side.
