Drawing Down the Moon
Oct. 19th, 2010 01:14 pmFor those who might be curious as to how that went...
I went fantastic. I love that the High Priestess who was there is so addicted to Drawing Down that she barely needed any attention afterwards (a cup of juice, yay). The Goddess we invoked, however, hahaha, she's one of the Scottish death goddesses, she's both the Gatekeeper and the Gate, and she's also grandmotherly, but she can also be terrifying. I love, love, love that Deity from having done a journey to her, and discovering that I am not afraid of Death, but of the perception of void that accompanies it. She soothed my fear by making me understand that there is no void, it's just how we percieve it in our mortal minds.
The name of that Deity is closely linked to our trad practices, so I'm not sure I'm allowed to say her name on here, however, the above should be plenty to discover her identity if one were to do some research.
I also officially/unofficially received my 2nd Degree elevation last night. I now have joined the Priestesshood in our Tradition. I feel both unworthy and undeserving and happy about it at the same time.
And I was scolded by the Goddess for the feeling unworthy and undeserving bit. Hah. I guess joke's on me.
The High Priestess I was working with last night seems to have a mind to steal me away from co-teaching with my High Priestess next year for the Dedicant year. I am not adverse to that as I love them both dearly, and I think I may need her exuberant energy (she makes me want to put my nose to the grindstone and practice, practice, practice like there is no tomorrow).
