No updates on The One Premiere over lunch, but, rather, after work... Mind you, I am still in the office...
I was minding me own business, sitting in the MPRC with Fabiola, Scarlet and some other people who I didn't really know, including Irkar (I *heart* him so much, right now), when Irkar announced that he is trying to read through ROTK and he is finding it a tough read.
So I launch into how I found it heavy, but loved it a lot, and we launched into a discussion on how well all the characters are cast, yadda, yadda. So then he goes on to ask who is daring to go to the Montreal premiere on the 16th of December, given that the Paramount decides to host the marathon. And I go and mention that I don't think I could just request the day off to go buy tickets, then request the day off to go see the marathon. And he goes and says, that, well, I can just hand him the money and he'd get me tickets, as long as he doesn't go on his own, because he likes to go see movies in large groups! I was, like, WHAT?!? And jumped at the chance.
Turns out he has connections in order to have close to first dibs on tickets for it!!! So I professed my eternal love to him and will know within the next few weeks whether or not we're having the marathon in Montreal and how much it'll be, so that I can give him the money in time for him to pick up tickets. And I said I might go as a Hobbit, and he said I was the right height anyway (I'm 4'11"), so I need to perm me hair and get some clothes at The Red Dragon and yeah... fun... *squee!*
I am such a fangirl...
