I have just been yelled at because apparently, according to a travel agent I just talked to, my supervisors are not allowed to have lives! Conversation went a little like this:
Agent: I have been waiting for an hour. I know your branch doesn't do it, but I want Royal Olympia Cruises.
Me: Unfortunately, we don't have any of their information anymore.
Agent: Look the phone system didn't seem to work and I was waiting for over an hour. I got a fax from THN Carriers about the MST Triton, isn't it a Royal Olympia ship?
Me: I really would not know, as we don't have their information in house. Carriers who are part of THN but in a different office would but I would have to transfer you.
Agent: Well, the phone system didn't work, and all the conferences I have been to, we have been assured that the one phone number we were given (she gives me said phone number) then pressing 4 for Cruises and then 6 for Royal Olympia would work everytime.
Me: *checks the phone number and it matches* I don't understand why it didn't work, and I would ask a supervisor to ask them if the phone tree is supposed to be working properly, but they have left for the day.
Agent: *sarcasm dripping off every syllable* Oh, so, they have left for the day, eh?
Me: Yes, because, unfortunately, they have a 9 to 5 schedule.
Agent: *pissed off* Nevermind, I will call back tomorrow! *hangs up on me*
Like, duh, it's nearly 7pm... *mumbles* stoopid fat agent...
