I guess I owe everyone an explanation?

NOT! I didn't go online all weekend, could not be bothered with the internet much for that long, for some reason. I don't know why, heart just wasn't into it.
Weekend update...
Went grocery shopping with Fabiola on Saturday, got cranberry flavoured mead and white Port wine, got slightly drunk that evening, watched two thirds of TTT.
Went to the marketplace on Sunday to pick up fruits and veggies that would've cost us nearly $50 at the supermarket for only about $32. Like, wow! We now refuse to go to the super anymore. I also baked a cake (without a recipe, pulling what I needed straight out of my brain, cake turned out perfect!) with strawberries at the bottom. Yum!
Lazed around half the day on Monday, then cooked shepherd's pie and spaghetti sauce. Finished the mead, and watched the last third of TTT, while doing a running commentary for Fabiola, who didn't get half of what was happening... I guess you DO have to have read the books to get that particular movie.
Stayed home sick yesterday, which was Tuesday, because I completely lost my voice. Don't know why, don't WANT to know why. Felt bad half the day because of it. Went shopping for cat food with Fabiola, and, since I received my service tax refund cheque, bought me a Merry & Grishnak action figure set. Merry's cute, he looks JUST LIKE Dom...
Voice is back, so I am back in action today. Hopefully, it'll be quieter than last week, so that my voice won't say fuck you again.

Date: 2003-09-03 07:36 am (UTC)Cranberry flavoured mead sounds interesting. Is it very good? Is it one of those things that tastes like alcohol or is it a lucky sort and not?
So, liek, eeek! for having lost your voice. I hope it doesn't decide to go packing again. Because I am hoping that if mom stays away then I can call you sometime. So your voice has to stay for that. (And we can all hope that mom will just learn to let me have my phonecalls. I mean, it's not like I'm on the phone all the time.)
I miss you. *hugs and kisses and cuddles*
So, has Pippin been taking care of you?

Date: 2003-09-03 09:36 am (UTC)Mead is actually alcohol that's basically made out of honey and water, which is then fermented, sometimes, they add fruits or fruit juice to it, in order to give it a different taste. The one we bought was cranberry. Sounds a little bit like what an Elvish liquor would be made of, actually. It's Norse/Celtic in origin. They call it Honey Wine at liquor stores, over here.
And my voice is holding on so far. It's a little bit raspier than usual, but aside from not being able to reach my full, normal singing range, it's fine. Yes, your mom needs to let you have your phone calls, LOL.
I miss you too! *hugs*kisses*cuddles*
Pip was good at making me teas yesterday, for my voice. And I've been too tired/busy to notice if the lads have been misbehaving, LOL.

Date: 2003-09-03 12:13 pm (UTC)Oh, that sounds lovely. I will have to find myself some, because I need to at least try it. And it does sound Elvish, you're right about that
And I DO want to call you, and I hope your voice continues to come back. Here, voicey voicey... *lays out treat, hoping it can be lured out of hiding*
And... well, perhaps the lads will be good and wait til you're not busy to misbehave. So that you can have some record of it, of course. *grin*
Glad that Pip's been a help, my dear. *kiss* *cuddle* *loves*

Date: 2003-09-03 09:38 am (UTC)I only have one Merry with Grishnak. I might buy Pippin with Ugluk later this month. I saw a deluxe gift set, which, I think, had over 10 action figures in it, but it was $90 Canadian and I didn't have that much money to spend.
