I need to fill up my icon slots...

Expect only Ghostbusters ones... LOL!
By the way, my icon looks huge on here, compared to LJ.
I've been writing fic as warmup, getting to know the characters, setting up the universe in my mind. Some of it's been all over the place. Some of it is straight movie!verse, some of it is from the continuity I've been building up for my own purposes. Some of it screams "Screw canon!" All of it is inspired, at least somewhat, by the overall mood of the 88MPH-published comics. Read: a notch darker and edgier than the original films, and definitely not for the kiddies, and definitely using the reboot-to-post-millennium storytelling device. Easier for me to include pop-culture references and recent scientific discoveries.
I've been told pretty much all of it sounds like the right voices for the characters, which is good. It means I'm doing my job right.
Waiting to receive the novelization of the first movie so that I can fine tune things a bit more before I start seriously writing and posting though. Storytelling and characterization are more important to me than sticking religiously to the storyline's canon, or I'd have stuck to it more in my fic.
