John and I are trying to have a baby, and I'm currently on a "get pregnant soon, or we're putting you on Metformin" schedule from the doctor.
Of COURSE I have to have a yeast infection right now, at the start of my fertile period. *shakes fist*
Fuck you, body! Fuck you!

Date: 2015-04-28 11:30 am (UTC)John and I have been trying for over a year, but nothing. IVF is covered up to two successful pregnancies reaching term per couple, but the government is thinking of revoking the program as part of the austerity measures the province is under. So we're a bit stressed that, if it needs to come to that, we'll have to pay. And that's super expensive.

But it's not something we can afford this year anyway, between moving, needing to buy new furniture because ours is dilapidated, and having to attend two weddings out of town (which means travel and accommodation expenses)... Wow, just looked it up, between $7,750 and $12,250 CAD... which includes everything, from semen testing to the actual IVF, but OUCH!
