Christmas haul, so far...

We got a deep freezer from my father (second hand, that he wasn't using), a humidifyer, a kitchen/food nutritional scale and a bread cutting board from my mom and stepdad. I gave the boyfriend two cookbooks (he likes to cook, and loves cookbooks), my mom and stepdad got him season 6 of Dr. Who, parts 1 and 2, and the boyfriend got me a 12" Peter Venkman from Matty Collector!
We still have the boyfriend's mother's Christmas/birthday party, this coming Saturday, then we'll be done overeating for the next little while (at least until Easter, when my MIL makes turkey and all the fixings, yet again). But, because I've done Christmas in a non-French Canadian way (we were with the boyfriend's extended family), it feels like I haven't eaten my fill of tourtière (spiced meat pie) and stewed meatballs, and am still craving the stuff.
Big changes coming up this year:
January: The boyfriend and I are embarking on a journey to getting healthy. Better eating and more exercise, although going gradually at both, because it seems to be easier this way. Start training for 10K race in September.
February: The boyfriend moves in with me by the end of this month. I also should be advising my landlord that I will be moving out 01 July.
March/April/May: Looking for new apartment, preferably with a lease starting 01 June, packing and preparing to move.
June and/or July: Move into new place. Adjust to new apartment/area. Attend Kaleidoscope Gathering.
August: My birthday, also, starting the more serious 10K training.
September: 10K race in late September, as part of the Montreal Marathon weekend.
October through December: Wrap up of the year.
