And they aren't going to take away my geek card anytime soon.
I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist. I am to take naproxen sodium twice a day for the next 10 days and get and wear a wrist splint. If my wrist is still the same in two to three months or gets worse, I have to go back to the doctor's to take more drastic measures, such as being taken off work (but going on worker's comp, as it's classified as a professional illness/work injury) and possibly surgery.
The doctor said it was a good thing I mentioned it in my yearly exam, today, because that means we caught it early and we might be able to calm it down before it gets too bad. However, since I've had this before (I self-treated with a drugstore bought brace and Advil on the worst days), it's also a possibility that it might be or even become chronic.
Oh well.
