I really don't know why Dana likes Venkman, but then it's been a while. I've actually asked Gilly that we watch it tonight, and all through, because last time she got sleepy and we had to stop... We only have the film as a digital copy at the moment.

That whole "it's his baby after all" thing is a bit lame and overused and it's connected to the surprisingly commonplace idea in films that a truly pure, desirable and true woman that a man wants to marry will not breed with any other men. Which is stupid, and doensn't reflect real life or the sorts of families real people have. If Dana and Venkman are together, I'd love to see him as an adoptive step-father to Oscar - that's every bit as much fatherhood.

I didn't realize Ghostbusters predates Little Shop of Horrors! I somehow had them pegged in the other order, maybe because Murray had such a small role I assumed he wasn't that famous yet, or then I just got that impression from the setting of the film.
