Well, Ray is the Heart of the Ghostbusters (whereas Peter is the Mouth and Egon is the Brain... I suppose that makes former Army guy Winston the Muscles?), so yeah, that all makes sense. He is nerdy, I mean, he is an engineer, but yeah. I read a fic, once, about how he and Mike (the bad guy from Legion) met in University, when Ray got in, at 15 years old, because he's a bit of a genius himself, and he starts looking through Mike's books on the occult, and is all *squee* over them. Which, of course, had me be all *squee* over baby!Ray.

There is some slashy "older!Mike develops an obsession for younger!Ray, and not just for friendship" subtext, which gets a lot more disturbing when you know how it evolves and eventually ends...
