Looks like I have a cyst on my foot. I have to go to the clinic to confirm (it may also be an over calcification, which could happen if I caused a micro-fracture while running or doing other sporty things).
At any rate, I found a small bump on my foot that should not be there, and since palpating it to make sure it wasn't just in my head, it's been hurting increasingly every day. Today, half my foot is sore, and throbbing a bit (I took tylenol, which is helping somewhat with the non-exertion-related pain). So tomorrow, I am taking my own ass to my family medicine clinic's walk-in, because the earliest appointments are at the end of March, and this is more urgent than this, since it hurts when I walk.
Words like cyst and where it is (on top of my foot, where the tendons are) and surgery on a spot like that tend to gross me out and send me into fits of nervous hysteric giggles. FUN TIMES!
