Today's To-do list...
Dec. 15th, 2012 10:22 amJohn and I planned our menu for the week, last night, so we have a grocery list we need to go pick up.
So here is today's To-do list:
- Go to Canadian Tire (it's like a hardware store, but it has more than just hardware, they also sell small appliances, car stuff, decoration stuff and more) to buy winter mats for the car to catch the snow and water with.
- Again, at Canadian Tire, look for gifts for my mom and dad. Mom wants an immersion blender, since hers died, and Dad wants a thick-slotted toaster because he's into buying oversize-slized bread for his toast, currently.
- Shop for groceries at Adonis Market. I love this place, it's like a regular supermarket, but it specializes in Mediterranean food cultures. Tons of Greek stuff, and Lebanese stuff, a bit more other ethnic (even Asian) stuff than our local IGA. The meat is some of the best we've bought from regular groceries, as opposed to a butcher shop, the options are super open, even with pre-marinated stuff. The produce is usually fresh and at it's prime (example, they have the freshest daikon outside of Chinatown). It's just awesome. And it's super cheap! They don't have much in the way of organic stuff, so, if you're into that, that may not be the store for you.
- Come home, relax, then primp for supper at Madison's with John's work crew. Since it's a nice steakhouse, I'll probably permit myself steak tonight.
Tomorrow's To-do list:
- Head out to the Angrignon area to go buy a gift card for our niece Keeva, who's almost 2. Her mom wants to get her clothes, so she specifically asked for gift cards from either Walmart or Children's Place.
- Also in the Angrignon area, hit up the L'Équipeur (it's mainly a career and outdoors clothing store, specializing in uniforms and heavy worker's stuff, but they also have nice everyday clothing, and I got a pretty fancy outfit there, in October for a party we were going to) to see if they have anything I might fancy to wear for Christmas and/or New Year's. I also get a 10% discount on top of the price, even if marked down, because I am a CAA (it's the Canadian AAA) member.
- Maybe do a tad of shopping at the Angrignon mall.
- Come home, do laundry, cook supper, chillax and wait for the predicted snow storm to roll in.
Next week is the last full work week of the year. My department is having our Christmas potluck lunch on Thursday, and I'll be bringing some cheeses, crackers, possibly a baguette or two and maybe a block of liver paté, because I love that stuff, even though it's terrible for you!
