Exhausting weekend #1 behind...
Dec. 20th, 2010 10:56 amThere are two more coming up!
Public Yule last night was a raging success. We nearly had to do two concentric circles, people were up against the walls!
My coven was leading. There were plenty of candles, including a procession, with birthday candles, the Yule candle, and the four quarter candles. A fire lit in a cauldron (muhahaha, pyrotechnics! dramatic!). A passing on of the torch between the Holly King and the Oak King. And a Yule Tree blessing.
It was fun, it was tiring.
My coven was there to clean and set up the rooms at 2:30pm (14:30, for those using the 24 hour system), and left around 10:30pm (22:30...), that is an 8 hour workshift!
We left exhausted and sweaty (omg, who in the world possessed the building owner's secretary to turn the heat WAYYYYYY UP! It must have been 35 Celcius in there when we got there!), with bellies filled with amazing food.
I had quinoa for the first time, and I must say I love it!
