A very Blessed Harvest/Mabon/Equinox to those who celebrate!

The Wheel, it is turning! :)

This time of year is a time of Thanksgiving for my tradition, so I need to work on the list of things I am thankful for, for our ritual on Sunday.

Fun times! :)

Right now, I'm thankful for in-season apples and concord grapes (in all their slimy-sour goodness), even though I don't have any at home. Maybe I should pick some up to share with my covenmates on Sunday.

Maybe I should get a couple of Wiccan/Witchy/Pagan icons anyway, because it looks like I might start talking about that a lot more on here than on LiveJournal.

That teaching thing (which I love, and I love our students, yay!) is making me want to submerge myself more into my spirituality. I want to do daily devotions and prayers and practice. I want to live it, I don't just want to be a brain that knows it.

For me, living my spirituality means at all levels, and maybe that is why I find it tedious (which it shouldn't be, it should be something to be enjoyed...). In order to have a healthy spirituality, my body also has to be healthy, so I need to exercise more, and eat better. My mind also has to be healthy, which it mostly is (lol, we're all a little bit insane, so no worries there), but I need to meditate to keep it that way.

If and when I do have children, I want to bring them up in this religion and way of life, always leaving room for them to seek out their own path, though. I want them to have a solid spiritual foundation, and they can't have that if I don't have a healthy spirituality myself.
