Went to the Montreal Comic-Con today...
Sep. 11th, 2010 06:32 pmFound a glow-in-the-dark Ghostbusters logo T-shirt, a copy of the trade paperback of Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression, and a copy of the last chapter of Ghostbusters: The Other Side.
There were a few cosplayers, but not as much as I've seen at other conventions. Some anime/manga fans in costumes, but we also saw some people dressed up as American comic book characters (The Hulk, The Flash, Batman, Catwoman, a couple of Marios, Poison Ivy, a couple of Harley Quinns, some assorted Star Wars characters, some Star Trek red shirts, V, Indiana Jones and his dad, a really good-looking Wolverine, and three people dressed up as Ghostbusters, with their own names on their name patches, and kick ass proton packs). We chatted with one of the GB guys and asked questions about his pack. Cost him around $600 to build, mainly because he participated in the molding of the larger part (the casing, which is fibreglass) and took a whole summer to build.
And... he's met Ernie Hudson, who, apparently, loves his fans! So much Winston love!
I'll post the two pictures I took (because I'm shy about asking to take people's pictures...), later.
