Hmmm, home is about 99% packed...
Jul. 26th, 2003 07:58 pmI still have shoes to pack, a box to tape, some clothing to fold and put away in drawers (we move our folded clothes in the drawers, in my family) and some floor sweeping to do before I go to bed, and I am about all set... I'll only need to trash my cat's little tomorrow, wrap up the clothes I have on hangers into trash bags, to protect them, and then, we're off to Montreal... So, by this time tomorrow evening, I should be online, or just about ready to set up my computer...
Um, what else? Brandy Hall (my bedroom) has been painted a really nice, really cheerful shade of green called "rosemary", after the plant. The cute Asian dude who mixed the pigment for me, at the hardware store was all-out flirting with me, whee!
Then I met up with Fabiola at the MPRC (she had a CMS Teachers meeting with the other Crescent Moon School teachers... she teaches Level 1, in French) and we set off to go all the way home her carrying the primer, me with the gallon of green paint. And we got home for me to do some sanding on the newly plastered walls. Then
danachan called me, and we talked briefly because she was on a cell, as her phone line died again... *kicks Verizon*. Then we primed the walls, when we stopped to allow for the primer to dry, Dana called again, because she pressed redial instead of the button she meant to press, so we chatted a couple minutes more. Then Fabiola, Victor and I set off to apply the green paint to the walls, we finished at about 3:30AM, but we didn't actually manage to get to bed until 6:30, when everyone had eaten a little, showered, and settled down into a mellower mood. And at 8:30 or so, the phone rang, waking me up. Then, at 9:15, my mom called, yelling at me because I wasn't home, when I'd told her straight out, beforehand, that we might not even be done painting until about noon, so I managed to get on a bus at 11:00am, and I got home, with barely over 2 1/2 hours of sleep, and I have been packing and cleaning and prepping almost nonstop since then, then at 6:00pm, we went to the restaurant for dinner, because we were 99% done, and my mom and aunt have now left and I am left with last minutes details to take care of. And my brain will NOT function normally, LOL!
I am turning 25 in a week, to the day. And only 5 more days, counting tonight, until
athena5897 gets here. I simply cannot wait...
Um, aside from that, I studied the faces of both my mom and my aunt (they're sisters) and they both have a facial bone structure akin to Billy Boyd's... hmmm... weird...
