As stolen from
redautumn
1. My birth certificate says my name is Marie Colette Virginie Karine Brosseau. However, everything else says my name is Karine Brosseau.
2. I am 4'11" tall, I used to be 4'11" 3/4 but I shrank due to having overly large breasts that made my spine begin to curve when I hit 18.
3. I had breast reduction surgery because of the aforementioned curving spine. I has a 40DD chest before April 7th 2003, I now have a 36C chest. They took off 1.5lbs out of each boob.
4. I am 30lbs heavier than I look, and anyone who asks how much I weigh dies, heh.
5. My best friend lives in another country. Alternatively, I have another close friend (who I've lost contact with) who lives on the other side of the world... in Auckland, New Zealand.
6. I have been wanting to move to New Zealand since late 1996/early 1997, thanks to aforementioned friend from Auckland. The Lord Of The Rings movies have nothing to do with it, though it has made me long for it even more.
7. I was brought up in a French-speaking home, in an all-French community. Both my parents are not very good at English, my mom, especially. I was bilingual by the time I was 15. I learned it all in school.
8. Alternatively, what we call French here, is really the North Canadian French dialect called Joual. I have spoken it all my life and have trouble speaking proper international French, as it doesn't feel natural to me. I refuse to write in Joual, though.
9. I prefer to use Brit-slang than American or Canadian slang. I have gotten weird looks, while on a cruise, for saying I needed to go to the loo.
10. My first full sentence was "Que c'est ça?" which means "What's that?". I also learned to sing before I learned to form full sentences on my own.
11. I used to know quite a bit of Japanese. I learned it on my own, from language courses on tapes.
12. I can't pronounce the "rr" sound in Spanish, which is why I dropped that class in College. Weirdly enough, I can imitate Billy Boyd's accent on some phrases, most of which comprise a sound close to that "rr" sound, and I actually can do it.
13. I can write in Tengwar, and know quite a few random words and phrases in both Sindarin and Quenya.
14. I was reading when I was 4 and spelling by the time I was 5. It wigged out my aunts.
15. I got traumatized by lightning hitting a tree on our yard, when I was 4. Until I was 8, I would start howling whenever we would get a thunderstorm or the weather would go nasty and the wind would scream around the house. I am still afraid of lightning and thunder, to this day.
16. I was actually named Julie, for the first seven hours of my life. I would've been named Jean-François, had I been a boy.
17. My ethnical background is Scottish (Richer, my mom's maiden name), Native American, Irish and Britton, all that being from my mother's side.
18. My father was adopted when he was about 2 years old, all we know is that his father fled Europe during WWII and ended up having my dad with some Canadian woman. This makes me second generation Canadian from my father's side. It has been speculated that my biological paternal grandfather was either Italian, Spanish or German.
19. I share my last name with the father of Wicca (aka Modern Witchcraft) Gerald Brosseau Gardner. A fact that, even though I practice it as a religion, I am not proud of, and shirk away from telling other Pagans my last name. Especially Gardnerians.
20. I also share my birthday with Edward Furlong, though he is a year older than me.
21. I nearly died, choking, when I was 4. I do intend on learning CPR and first aid, because it saved my life. One way or another, I need to have my certification before I graduate from Level 2 at Crescent Moon School.
22. I attend Witchcraft School, and my teacher is the founder/headmistress of said school. The school is currently registered with the government for tax reasons, but is in the process of being registered as recognized clergy formation institution, again, with the government. (Yes, Athie, I know I didn't tell you... *sticks out tongue*)
23. I volunteer every time I can for the Montreal Pagan community. This usually involves me taking care of the refreshments table, or the raffle table at the Sabbat-related community fairs. I am an unregistered external volunteer for the Montreal Pagan Resource Center. All volunteers are usually registered.
24. I almost never wear any makeup, except for lipgloss, which I use like lipbalm.
25. I have a strong counter-alto voice. I cover most of the tenor range in male voices.
26. I love singing, but hate hearing myself.
27. I passed my singing class in College without bringing back any written assignments and passing only one of the written tests. This was worth 40% of the grade. 10% was attendance and participation. This leaves 50% for performance. I had a grade of 62%.
28. In the 1994 secondary 4 (that's 10th grade) Physical Science end of year exam (that's Physics and Chemistry, combined), I had a grade of 94%. My quintile rank was 1, and my centile rank was 99. I was told by my teacher at the beginning of next school year that I was the only one with that grade in the whole province. The exam had been failed by 74% of the people who took it. I, incidentally, had the highest grade in the province.
29. While we're on academic achievements, I have an (unofficial) IQ of 133, and this score I got while taking calls at work. I got that result with the mention of Insightful Linguist. My father has an IQ of over 145, he quit school at 13, with a grade 7 education.
30. I am a College dropout.
31. I used to be very good at astronomy, cosmology and astro-physics.
32. I can cook like a real chef, but hate it like Sauron.
33. I can't sew on a machine to save my life, but I embroider and knit, and am not too bad at it.
34. I have been writing fiction since I was 14.
35. I have owned my cockatiel for 11 years and a half or so. She is going to be 12 years old in the fall. She is the pet I owned for the longest.
36. I am slightly colour-blind, I will see some shades of very light blue as greys and will see some light shades of lavender as light blues. It confuses me when I look at the sky in summer and the sun is shining but the sky looks steel grey.
37. I have accurately predicted that my grandmother would die before my birthday, in 1988. Weirdly enough, she died the day before I was originally supposed to be born, but a week and a day before my actual 10th birthday.
38. I have been known to have visions of myself as pregnant if women in my family were going to carry a child to term, alternatively, I have dreams of having a miscarriage whenever one is going to miscarry. My mother can predict an unborn child's sex accurately through visions and energy probing, and this, with 90% accuracy. She has been known to tell my cousin she was having a boy, when the doctor said it was 100% sure her child was a girl. Rachel ended up being Emile, therefore, my mom was right.
39. I am a bloodstopper by birthright, through my father. I can also heal nasty burns.
40. I was brought up Catholic, with folk magick and ancestor worship thrown in. Jokes of Christian Witchcraft are rampant on my mom's side of the family.
41. I converted (too strong a word) to Wicca when I was 20. It was like coming home after a long trip away.
42. I have always believed in reincarnation and described its dynamics with scary accuracy when I was 4 1/2 years old, and this, without having being told what it was.
43. I can remember, in vivid details, one scene from my previous life. It was in the late 1800s, early 1900s and I was a blonde male of about 5 years old, it was harvest time, the women were canning food in the kitchen, and anyone strong enough to do so were in the fields.
44. I was strawberry blonde as a child, and I am now a dark dark brunette, naturally.
45. My hair once grew a whole 16 inches in a year.
46. I broke a toe when I was 14. My toe was still black and blue, a month and a half later, when I started up karate class again.
47. I took oil painting lessons when I was 15. I was the youngest there, by over 15 years.
48. My father and I both have a passion for Blink-182, other than that, he's a country guy, and I am a pop music slut.
49. I have never fallen in love with a woman, and can't see myself having sex with one, but I refuse to consider myself straight.
50. I have never smoked pot, but I am for legalizing the stuff. Not because I want to smoke it, but because growing it and using it to make paper would save the same supeficy in trees to make the same quantity of paper. It is an ecological plant. Also, my roommate, whose doctor refuses to prescribe the herb to her for her sickle cell disease, could get it for when she gets an attack, in a legal manner, instead of having to pop morphin.
51. I love tattoos and piercings. I plan on getting quite a few more of the first, and probably my nose pierced and a few more on my ears.
52. I have nothing against needles, as long as they are not poked up a vein of mine. Intramusular and subdermic (or whatnot) injections are fine, however. I can get those standing up without flinching.
53. I can be heavily carsick, but I don't get seasick or airsick.
54. My favorite colour is orange, but I am planning on painting my bedroom green.
55. I am planning on going back to film school. For the sheer passion of filmmaking.
56. I love working out on the stairmaster or the rowing machine. I just can't afford a gym subscription at the moment.
57. I have read the first three Harry Potter books in a week, two of those were read over a period of 1 1/2 days. They were read the week before the release of the first movie. I read through half of GoF in a day, and it took me a full week to finish the rest, and I read OotP in a week.
58. Likewise, I first read the three installments of The Lord Of The Rings over a period of two months and a half, with one month's worth of hiatus three quarters through The Two Towers. So it would've taken me a month and a half to read the whole thing if I hadn't gotten sick of Book Four.
59. I have tried to read The Hobbit, but only got through the first two or three chapters before I put it down, that was in March 2002 and I have not picked it back up since.
60. I tend to crave molasses if I am iron deprived.
61. I wear a size 7 1/2, on average, in American women's size. My feet are nearly a quarter too big for my height.
62. I have been called a hobbit back in High School, by a former friend of mine, because I was short, I loved my hair permed (aka curly) and I had ridiculously big feet for my height (which I still do). With the advent of the LOTR movies, the nickname has resurfaced, but it's new friends of mine who use it.
63. Aside from my surgery, I only got stitches once and that was when I split my scalp open when I was two, it needed three stitches.
64. I injured my left knee when I was 13, it started giving me trouble again when I turned 18. I have seen a specialist about it, but she didn't take it seriously, so I am in pain whenever it's going to rain.
65. I speak with a slightly French Canadian accent. Some hear it, some don't. As a rule, though English Canadians think I'm American, and Americans think I'm English Canadian. I have started to acquire a Scottish lilt by listening to Billy Boyd too much, however French Canadians speak English with a smiliar melody to their voice.
66. In French, I can do the New Brunswick, the Saguenay, the Parisian, the Montreal, the Suroit, the Quebec City, and some of the Marseille accents, and, in English, only a few key words an phrases with a British/Scottish/New Zealand/Australian accent.
67. I have several allergies. My respiratory ones include dust, tree pollen, ragweed and cat dander. My food allergies include sole (one type of fish only, weirdly), which makes me swell up; beef, which makes me nauseous; and chocolate, which doesn't do anything, I only tested positive to it but eating but it doesn't do anything to me. I am intolerant to lactose and onions, they both give me the runs, and tomatoes, if eaten in too great quantities over too short a period, will have me break out in hives along my jawline, this goes away either if I wait it out, or I dilute the acid in my system by drinking water.
68. I can't stand hypocritical people or liars.
69. I have learned to con my way through business calls received from Sylvie and Lydia from Croisiere Francofun, because they are bitches and if you don't sound like you know what you're talking about, they will tear your head off. They also both try to create problems where there are no problems.
70. I am a lazy bum, there's no other word for it.
71. My stepsister lives in Australia, and I would LOVE to visit her someday. She moved there in December 1999.
72. I have an extreme power of concentration, if I put my mind to it. I can read while a scuffle is happening right next to me, and will not miss a word of the text I am going through. I will, however be aware of my surroundings and will react if the people fighting get too close to me.
73. I love powerful movies, like Sweet November, What Dreams May Come and The Lord Of The Rings.
74. But I have yet to see City Of Angels.
75. I was just wondering why no one I knew was on YIM, then I realized I hadn't opened YIM O_o.
76. I have a pretty good tolerance to pain, but for my menstrual cramps. I also have an oddly great endurance to lack of sleep.
77. I can't believe teenage girls who get pregnant, then act like they are the shit because they had a baby before they were even legal. They even tend to be worse if they got pregnant before they were 16. I can't stand it either if they tell me I'm just jealous because I didn't start having sex that young.
78. I am neither a cat or a dog person, I am a bird person.
79. My family's totem animal, the one that figures on our Coat Of Arms, is a black cat.
80. I love shoes, I will buy any that I find even remotely attractive, but I prefer to be barefoot.
81. I tend to have panick attacks at the weirdest times, and the only thing that calms me down is to take off my shoes.
82. I have an unhealthy obsession for all things LOTR, this includes, but is not limited to, the actors who played in the movie.
83. I also love to look at Harry Potter fan art and will spend hours staring at it.
84. I once let a sun conure (that's a small kind of parrot) lick the mint-flavored lipgloss off my lips.
85. I have rescued a yellow-breasted sapsucker and a bohemian waxwing. They are both indigenous birds. My mom was freaked out at how calm birds, even wild ones, are around me.
86. I would love to take up any type of board sport, whether it's snowboarding, surfing or skateboarding.
87. I usually am not attracted to very perfect and polished looking men like Orlando Bloom or Elijah Wood (though he can sometimes look scruffy).

90. I can't stand extreme temperatures in humid weather. Give me a temperate to hot dry weather spell and I am in heaven.

93. I love Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke and Pepsi Twist.
94. I own over 200 CDs, most of which is pop music.

96. I usually don't like my birthday much.
97. I will jabber endlessly to hide embarrassment and nervosity.
98. I have met quite a few celebrities, but I never had my picture taken with one, save David Copperfield, when I was 12.

100. I am done with this... *grins*

89. Give me Dominic Monaghan, though, with all the imperfections included, and I am in heaven.
90. I can't stand extreme temperatures in humid weather. Give me a temperate to hot dry weather spell and I am in heaven.
91. I am afraid of spiders, bees and wasps like a mother. I will do a very good impression of Billy Boyd in the fireworks scene in FOTR and run off.
92. I can't stand anything to do with puke.
93. I love Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke and Pepsi Twist.
94. I own over 200 CDs, most of which is pop music.
95. I am very bad at remembering birthdates of the people I know, but I will remember their astrological sign. However, I will remember a celebrity's birthdate easily.
96. I usually don't like my birthday much.
97. I will jabber endlessly to hide embarrassment and nervosity.
98. I have met quite a few celebrities, but I never had my picture taken with one, save David Copperfield, when I was 12.
99. I have two fully dressed altars in my apartment. They are both charged and fully functional.
100. I am done with this... *grins*
