Um, yay?
I'm starting to have wrist/hand troubles again in my right hand...
I blame it on the mouse. And on my desk being too high. And on my desk/chair combo being inappropriate for my height: desk too high, chair being all the way up, but still too low, and my feet not quite reaching the floor. Bad work positioning, yay? Not really.
It's painful at best, sometimes, my last two fingers go numb from it, and I'm having dexterity issues, like some of my typographical errors are caused by it, and I sometimes have problems gripping a pen or pencil properly.
I think it's carpal tunnel syndrome caused by years of data-entry type jobs.
In which case I'll be elligible for professional illness/occupational hazard leave and compensation. And the possibility for a surgery. I mean, it is the third or fourth summer that I go through this.
Seeing my doctor for my yearly physical on Monday, will mention wrist pains and see what happens.
Also, I just heard that a lady in reservations has been on sick leave for a year and a half due to carpal tunnel issues. Why she hasn't been operated on yet is beyond me, but yeah...
